All right, we need to talk about modern day spam.

Here is a spam I just received. You are surely getting these too?

So I want to know - what is the idea? What benefit is derived to anybody from this mail? And, is somebody writing these in a drug-induced haze, or are they computer generated?

This sounds like something the sybils would tell me.

A stoic turkey reads a magazine, and a blithe spirit panics; however, the mysterious skyscraper writes a love letter to another turn signal.

If a graduated cylinder requires assistance from a carelessly mitochondrial wedding dress, then a somewhat cantankerous fruit cake goes to sleep.

The bullfrog living with a ski lodge derives perverse satisfaction from the obsequious tape recorder. A recliner ignores a false particle accelerator, because an abstraction knows an outer roller coaster.

When you see the chess board, it means that the insurance agent self-flagellates.

A salad dressing. A non-chalantly fat turkey. A sheriff related to the minivan. A usually fashionable crank case.

It confuses attempts at filtering spam - you either ramp up the level of your filters, lose important messages and end up switching them off or keep them less fierce, get loads of this random spam and end up switching them off or, at least, accidently letting a few things through.

Grrr.....!

I'm guessing they are looking for email accounts with auto-respond and auto-forward set true?

As stated by Wulf, all the weird spellings and odd sentence constructions are to get the message past anti-spam filters. Lately I've been getting a bunch on my work computer that have whole paragraphs from Oliver Twist at the beginning - before the pitch for cheap meds or penny stocks. Another one I've seen is several lines of reportage from this year's World Cup - again, right at the beginning of the message, before the pitch for whatever sleazy product they're pushing.

What Wulf said is right. It amazes me that there are idiots out there with no life, except to screw up up someone expensive computer.
a pox on them.

Ah, very clever, mari-may be humans ARE smarter than computers. Pratie, read your blog re visit to Governors Island, where I inhabited several of those houses for 8 years in 1950's and loved my life as a little girl there, It's possible that I am in pics of schoolchildren, not sure. Anyway, wanted to mention that I loved the drawing about "life without Mozart"- I come from Colombian musical family and work as a nurse, always trying to infuse my life and lives of dying people with heavenly Mozart. It helps. Now THERE'S a multitasking blog for us.
