Insidious typo courtesy of Fox News

From TVNewser.com:
"O'Reilly Factor" [falsely] Labels Mark Foley As Democrat

It's just a misplaced letter, but what a misplaced letter: Swapping a "D" for an "R" last night, Fox News and "The O'Reilly Factor" labeled disgraced pedophile Congressman Mark Foley, longtime Republican, as a Democrat.

Apparently it happened a number of times over the course of the broadcast ... as O'Reilly railed against Foley and his actions ... the visual message to his viewers was that the perpetrator of these heinous crimes against children was a Democrat.

This comes at a time when Republicans are desperately fighting the perception that they permissively allowed Foley to go about his business (and his "business") on the hill, and that they are no longer the party of upright moral values.

I deplore Foley and his actions, and I deplore even more the people who knew about it and did nothing, save give wishy-washy warnings to incoming pages.

Given Bush and his mistakes and things like Foley has done, the Republicans will be lucky if they get ANY votes in the next election. But the "spin-doctors" are very busy, so they might convince some people that they are still holding up family values as their ideal. Problem is, family values means different things to different people.

I read a blog last night where the writer was comparing Foley to Clinton, and I reminded him that Monica was not underage, like the pages are. I should have also reminded him that Clinton was after females, at least, not male youngsters.

Try not to mind the scroll, because evidently no one can spell and no one knows about editing. They are notorious for their bloopers. the scroll typists must have english as a second language.
