I can imagine your distaste for this sort of hidden sales agenda. Please, find a person who has worked with donkeys and knows how to train them. This new-age crap will not work with Jethro. He is too willful and nervous to buy into this animal-whisperer shananigans. Find someone who actually has a full-sized donkey and who has really trained it to work and be safe around humans. Horses, llamas, goats and other hooved creatures may bear some resemblence to each other but donkeys simply live by different rules. No more natural horse trainers or llama nose lickers. They will not help.
Oh, I have a nice version of the Pachebel Canon done on the autoharp if you are interested.
